VAG Engine Coolant Bleed – New Special Function
The latest Snap-on® Diagnostic Software release allows access to the Engine Coolant Bleed Function on supported VAG vehicles.
This vehicle-controlled routine is required on many modern VAG cooling systems, particularly those using electronically managed, cambelt-driven water pumps.
Highlighted applications include:
- Volkswagen Scirocco (2008–2017)
- Škoda Kodiaq (2017–2024)
Accessing the bleed routine through the diagnostic tool allows technicians to complete cooling system repairs in line with manufacturer requirements, helping to reduce overheating complaints and repeat visits.
For VAG vehicles equipped with Secure Gateway (2021 model year and newer), access to this special function is supported in the UK via Snap-on® Security Link, provided as a complementary solution.
